What a beautiful day to travel to White County for an outside bridal shower. No other setting would have suited this bride better than this wine venue. She loves her wine! The scenery of this vineyard was so beautiful, greenery everywhere. It was a perfect day with beautiful clouds over head.
The grounds had a walking trail that lead to a gorgeous, soothing waterfall. All the guests visiting the venue made their way, at some point, to get their own picture of this waterfall or sitting on the bench. I saw some couples there, as well as other events being held there.
I love getting images of the clouds like this. It usually happens after a good rain storm, which happened on this day. We got lucky that the rain went elsewhere a few hours before the shower. Lesson here, don’t let rain cancel your plans. When it clears, the clouds will be the prettiest they’ve ever been.
This is what the venue looks like. We were under the yellow canopy, to the left. If you want to stay inside and drink, you will go to the right, the first building on the right. They also have a patio area.
Here’s a close up, of the winery, itself. When I was little, these were the kind of doors I dreamed of.
The middle picture is a framed menu that you can scan with your phone and see what they offer without even going inside.
Once everyone was greeted, we filled out a few cards and started to snack and mingle. The food was delicious and obviously paired well with the wine.
My favorite part of the day, was the theme. I love how Brooke’s blue dress with lemons on it, matched the blue hydrangeas and lemon décor. It all was meant for “she found her main squeeze.” How cute!
The ducks weren’t fearful of anyone.
This was the funnest game I’ve ever seen played. The maid of honor read a poem, based on the people in the crowd. Each line of the poem, picked out someone in the audience depending on the color shirt they wore, their hair color, who was the first or last to arrive, just little things like that, that would single out a single person. Well, that person would get the gift bag, until the poem was read about the next guest that the gift bag would circulate to. The bag made its round to about eight people then finally (with intention) lands with the Bride.
The gift was an album of their engagement session.
