This baby shower brought my sister home for the weekend. She lives in Savannah, so she’s had to travel a few times for the baby showers the family has hosted for her and Paul. We had so much fun making decorations and coming up with games to play. Of course, no baby shower is official until you tie balloons to the mailbox. I love having all of our parties at my mom’s house. It’s big enough so everyone can walk around and talk in different areas of the house and not be contained to one room, like we are at my house. I just wish my mom got as excited as we do, when we open her house to all of our friends, lol. Keep scrolling and hopefully you’ll enjoy the baby shower as much as the rest of us did.

Last time I saw this easel, it was for Brooke’s bridal shower

How cute is this idea? “Thanks for popping by!” That is so stinking cute. How did people decorate before Pinterest? Of course I’m going to take a hundred photos of the same thing….why not?

My mom’s idea of decorating is to hang the clothes from the line. She did this at my baby shower too. It’s so simple and makes such an impact. Seeing all these baby clothes makes me so excited to hold him and kiss all over his little face!!!! I’ll have to do that behind my sister’s back because she doesn’t want anyone kissing him.

Omg’sh!!! These cute little bitty baby clothes!!!!

Our friend, Margarie, owns Simply Southard and made all of this wonderful food. Her chicken salad sandwich, pasta salad and artichoke dip was AWESOME!!!! If you enjoy having your food catered, you should call her. She’s awesome! You can view her full menu here http://www.simplysouthardbakery.com or you can call and speak to her directly, if you have questions. 770-378-6622

Here’s something I’ve never seen before, but I’m a simple girl, so…. Who knew putting a popsicle in champagne was a thing? I didn’t try it but it was a hit.

The pasta salad. There was NONE left

Once the guests arrived, ate and visited for a while, we played games. Jenna (my daughter) passed out game cards and loved being able to play the games with the adults. The first game, we had to guess how much all the baby items cost. At the end of the game, we totaled the amount and whoever was the closest to the total cost for all items won the game.

The second game was baby Jeopardy! This was so fun, we wanted to play longer. It was funny picking the nursery rhymes because only the older ladies knew the answers to those. Celebrity babies could’ve been skipped because we didn’t know much about today’s “celebrities.” It was during this game I learned Beyoncé chose horrible names for her twins.

Just a few questions in and Jenna was in the lead, or so she thought. She was so excited!!! I was giving her the answers and she couldn’t write them down fast enough. In the end, she did win the game. It was a Starbucks gift card, which mom thought she’d be too young for. Jenna reminded her that mom got her stuck on a certain lemonade there and she couldn’t wait to grab that card out of mom’s hands.

Now for the fun part….PRESENTS!!! To keep Brooke sitting comfortably, Jenna carried the gifts to her and helped her pull the paper out of the bags. I’m wondering at what age she’ll lose the desire to do this but I don’t think that will ever happen. She’s going to have a hard pill to swallow, when the baby starts stealing the attention now. She may surprise us all. She’s been wanting someone to have a baby for a while now so she may be happy to share things with him. We’ll see.

the outfit on the right was popular. She received SIX of them!

This elephant gift was so cute. Brooke loves elephants and decorates with them. This little thing sings songs and flaps his ears over his eyes. He was a hit and made everyone laugh.

If she’s like me, after delivery, the sayings on the pink shirt will become her slogan

Jenna picked her favorite books from her playroom to give to Chris. Among the stack was Cinderella, Lol

If you’re looking for a fun, entertaining activity, try this. Brooke bought some blocks and markers and had everyone pick a letter of the alphabet and decorate the block using that letter. When Chris learns the alphabet and plays with these blocks, it’ll be a fun memory to reminisce about. Jenna decorated five or six of these.
