aLBUMS

Are you insured?
Yes, I am

Do you carry backup equipment?
I do. I have two cameras, my main camera being a Nikon D850. I use prime lenses, which are my 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 70-200mm, as well as my macro lens I use for ring shots.

Can we customize our package?
Of course you can! I understand every wedding is different. I'm here to help customize a package that fits your style and needs.

If we book with you, who will be our photographer? Paul or Ashton?
I (Christy) will be your photographer. My "team" is just one person...muah. Paul Ashton is actually named after my two kids. Paul is my son's middle name and Ashton is my daughter's middle name.

How far in advance do we need to book you?
The sooner, the better. I don't book brides any more than a year out, due to current inflation rates. A year out is a safe time frame. However, between my family commitments, my daughter's sports and my day job, I have a limited availability, compared to full time photographers...so don't delay...book today!

Are you able to hold our date for us?
No, I'm sorry, I can't. Dates are first come, first serve. Once my couples read over their contract and make a deposit toward their non refundable retainer, that is when the date is saved in my calendar.

What is your photography style?
I define my style as documentary and editorial. I love taking casual photos, when that's an option but mostly I use heavy posing for my wedding couples. I've found most couples don't have any idea what to do in front of a camera, so I use a variety of ideas, which everyone loves! I've learned everything I know from Katelyn James. She's the best in the business and who I aspire to be when I grow up.

Can we request specific shots?
Of course you can! I work for you. Please share all of your Pinterest ideas with me and I'll find a way to incorporate your ideas into the flow of your day.

We're not photogenic. Is hiring a photographer worth it?
Yes! You still need a photographer! That's why you hire us is to help document the day and make you look and feel as natural as possible. I know which positions look best, how to make your smiles look genuine and how to place your arms and legs while sitting, as well. I'm not here "just for pictures," I'm here to make the most of your day so when you look back at your album in ten, twenty years, you have every memory from that day.

What does your turnaround time look like?
You will receive a sneak peak within 72 hours of your wedding. Your full gallery will be ready within eight weeks.  If you book me for a mini, newborn or family session, you'll receive your gallery within two weeks, if not sooner.

Do you deliver every image you photograph?
I don't deliver "every" image but you will receive more photos than you need. I remove duplicate photos, closed eyes, sleepy faces, motion blur, sun flares and any photo that doesn't fit the narrative of the day.

Do you deliver RAW files?
No I don't. You'll have a hard time finding any photographer who delivers raw files, as this is not an accurate representation of our work. Handing over RAW files would be the same as a chef handing over all the ingredients you'd need to make your own meal. If you don't have the proper tools, you won't have the same outcome to prepare a steak, cake, etc. The same with photography. In order to edit your photos, I require a handful of programs to deliver a desired outcome. Trust me. You wouldn't be happy with RAW files.

How many photographs will we get back?
I never put an actual number to a family because every wedding day or session is different. It depends on the size of the wedding party or family in front of me. There could be a lot of activity for me to photograph or the day is kept simple, with little going on. The typical wedding day calls for 50-100 photos per hour. The more you have going on in your timeline, the more photos you'll receive. A six hour wedding will usually receive 600 photos, etc.

Do you offer enhanced editing to our photos?
Yes, if further editing is needed. Keep in mind this can delay your gallery from being delivered on time. If you're requesting extensive edits, beyond my capability, I will outsource this which could lead to an extra fee involved.

How will we receive our photos?
I deliver all galleries through Cloudspot. This is an online gallery you can share with your friends and family. You can also choose your favorite photos, which helps tremendously when it's time to design your wedding album.

How do we print our images?
I highly recommend MPix. They have several sales throughout the year. Please don't use the corner store and water down your photos.

Can we see full wedding galleries?
Of course! If you start from the menu bar, click portfolio, then weddings, then traditional weddings. I have links to two full weddings, both are from ten hour packages. Enjoy!

What if we don't want you to share photos of our wedding day?
That's completely ok. I respect your privacy and will never post any of your photos. No questions asked.

Do you watermark your photos?
No. Once you receive your gallery, there will be no trace of me anywhere, unless you feel compelled to tag me on social media. *Photographers love that*

Do we need a second photographer?
A second photographer is a great idea when you have over 100 guests attending. Ideally, you can never go wrong with a second view of the same subject. Second shooters also come in handy when the Bride and Groom are getting ready at two seperate addresses. In that case, a second shooter would be highly recommended so every moment of the day is captured and all events make it into the wedding album.

Do you charge a travel fee?
Yes. My wedding packages include a traveling fee for anything over 100 miles from my zip code 30542. If you're hiring me from across the country, there will be additional traveling fees.

Do you cover destination weddings?
I do! It would be a dream to photograph anywhere in Hawaii, Ireland or Scotland. I'd definitely need to plan way in advance, so don't delay on booking me.

Have you ever photographed at our venue?
This is a tricky question because the honest answer is that it doesn't really matter. I know that sounds snarky but just hear me out. Your gorgeous venue will not be appealing in photos, if your photographer doesn't know how to work the camera gear or find the best light. There's more to being a wedding photographer than finding the prettiest spots to shoot at. I will always arrive an hour early and scout the property so I'll know the best locations to photograph you based on the lighting conditions throughout the day. You don't have to worry when you choose me.

Do you provide wedding albums?
I do, however, the album pricing is not included in my packages. I've found many couples have different needs when it comes to album design. The albums are priced for linen material and will include a cameo, your name and wedding date on the cover. Suede and leather albums are available upon request.

Do photographers need to be fed?
For the convenience of everyone, yes. We're working so hard for you, often, not having time to snack until you sit down to eat. Feeding your vendors the same, hot, meal you feed your guests keeps us from leaving the premises to buy food which could end up in a time delay waiting for us to return or getting into an accident and not returning at all.  You've heard of the photographer who was denied a meal and deleted all the wedding photos, right? Don't let this happen to you. I wouldn't do this....but who's to say another photographer wouldn't. There's never any drama when everyone is fed :)

If you're requesting extensive edits, beyond my capability, I will outsource this which could lead to an extra fee involved.
